Registation is OPEN and closes March 31st or when an age group fills.

Space is limited in each age group. Once a group is full, there is NOTHING that can be done to add players.

The Sting Volleyball program has been developed to provide aspiring volleyball players an opportunity to learn the basic skill set or fundamentals for competitive volleyball - at an introductory yet competitive level. Our program is aimed at the youth athlete who has 'some-to-none' exposure/experience with the game of volleyball, yet would like to develop the core skills required to participate at a higher level in the future (club, middle school, high school).

Sting Volleyball is lead by Fatima Handy, who coached the 2017 Section Championship team at Turlock HS and has also been a part of several teams that have qualified for USAV Girls Nat'l Championships with Rage Volleyball Club. She is currently the head coach for boys volleyball at Hilmar HS, and the technical coach for the girls volleyball program at Turlock HS. Fatima will lead the instruction and each team will be mentored/coached by student-athletes that have played at a high level in high school or college.

This program is instructionally based, yet will contain head-to-head game activity as a secondary focus.

The Plan***

1. Sting Volleyball @ Hilmar High will operate on Tuesday's and Thursday's from May 7 to May 23 for a total of 6 Sessions.
2. Training/Games are on the same day - parents need only allocate up to a 1.5-hour window of availability for their child's involvement
3. Each session will consist of skill development and game play.
4. Playing time guaranteed for all players through constant team rotations via both skill development and game activity.
5. Games are played 6 versus 6.
6. Our Student Athlete Head Coaches guide each team through the season. Core instruction is provided by our Program Director and their staff.
7. Teams are comprised of 8 players maximum.

Program Cost: $125 (includes custom volleyball jersey AND a volleyball for players to keep to continue to practice with once season is over - knee pads ARE NOT included),

- Ideal for the aspiring volleyball player with an even focus on skill development and game readiness,
- Fluid development environment to challenge skill advancement at an individual and team level,
- Introduction of core fundamentals, general position training, game scenarios, and overall game strategies,
- First half of the program will stay focused on skill development with the latter half of the program influencing the infusion of developed skills in game-play scenarios.

Typical night…

4th/5th graders- 4:00-5:30

6th/7th graders- 5:30-7:00

***If there are not enough registrants to run the program as stated above, it will be run as a 6 session clinic.
